Let’s see, what the mechanism behind it is.
What is foot odor?
It’s a type of body odor. It arises from foot. Usually bad or foul smell.Sweaty foot causes
The principle cause is sweat. It may seem suspicious. Because our whole body is sweating. So why not others parts of body smells so bad like foot? The question in very logical. And Sweat itself is odorless- it is very much true. But It creates a favorable environment for bacteria to multiply. Bacteria eats sweat and produce acid which is called isovaleric acid. This acid is responsible for bad smell.
Causes of smelly foot- from where these bacteria come?
These bacteria normally lives in our skin but do not do harm
normally. They are called normal flora.
When we wear socks and shoes then our foot is in a closed system which increases sweating. But socks absorb it.
Composition of socks also plays an important role. Two common materials are polyester and nylon. But they provide less ventilation. On the other hand, cotton and wool gives more ventilation

Clean your foot regularly after coming home from outside. Soak your foot in water for 15 minutes. Add some salt (1 to 2 tea spoon) into a bowl of warm water. This will clean your foot and reduce the amount of bacteria.
You can use vinegar into water and soak your foot for half an hour. It works really well.
